Pre-installation

If this is the first time you've used BOB, you might need to install one or more of the following packages on your computer.

Browser Extension for Chrome or Firefox

If you’re running Chrome or Firefox, you’ll need the browser extension ClickOnce. Microsoft Edge doesn’t need this extension.

Install Virtual Com Port (VCP) Drivers for the transceiver

If you're having trouble connecting to the mag using a USB cable, it may be because you need drivers to access RS232 ports through your USB ports. Download this package and run BOB again.

Choose the online or offline installer

Online installer

Install while connected to the internet. You can update directly from the main menu in BOB. Runs on Windows 10 64-bit.

Offline installer

BOB always works offline, but if you need to install it on a computer without a connection, choose the offline installer and copy it to the computer where you need it to run.

Note: If you choose the offline installer, BOB won't automatically notify you of updates. We'll notify you of updates by email instead.

We recommend using the online installer whenever possible.
